During my recent stay at a charming guesthouse near the scenic Canal du Midi, I had the pleasure of experiencing Patricia's warm hospitality. She welcomed us with a delightful aperitif and snacks, including olives from her own garden. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the canal, where we enjoyed leisurely walks surrounded by tall sycamore trees and the soothing sounds of birdsong. The breakfast was a delightful spread of pastries, traditional baguettes, and homemade jams, accompanied by rich, delicious coffee. The family room we booked was spacious and comfortable, with a separate area for the children and a door for added privacy. There were also several picturesque towns nearby to explore, and Toulouse was just a short drive away. I highly recommend this guesthouse for its tranquil location, attentive host, and proximity to the beautiful Canal du Midi.

We absolutely loved the private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries! It was so convenient and made us feel right at home. The tile/marble floor in the double room gave it a classy yet cozy vibe. We really enjoyed the soundproofing as it allowed us to have a peaceful night's sleep. Having access to the executive lounge was a fantastic perk! We felt like VIPs and it added a touch of luxury to our stay. The electric kettle in the room was a game-changer for our morning coffee routine. And the seating area provided a comfortable space to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed, including an oven and a private pool. It was the perfect place for our family getaway.
Honestly, the only thing we didn't love was that the double room had a private entrance. It made us feel a bit separated from the main building.

Clean rooms - recently renovated. Wonderful bedding and comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom and shower. Impeccably clean. Close to the beautiful Canal du Midi for a peaceful retreat. Great for walking - running - or biking. Magical atmosphere with tall sycamores and birdsong. Delicious breakfast with croissants - jams, and café au lait. Lovely touches of French chic. Friendly host who made us feel welcome. They even made a beautiful breakfast in their new kitchen. Local restaurant recommendation: L'estanquet in Gardouch - with friendly owners and fabulous food.
Totally recommend.

Lovely room, cool and refreshing. Enjoyed playing fetch with the friendly dog. Pool looked inviting, but water level was a bit low.
Oh, and don't be fooled by the "restaurant serving French dishes" - they just hand out pizza delivery leaflets instead. How charming.

The location of the hotel was near a scenic canal with a beautiful walk down a tree, lined path that offered spectacular views. the rooms were quite spacious and comfortable with lovely bathrooms and showers. the facilities were top, notch, from the gardens and pool to the well, equipped dining room. the breakfast offered a range of delicious options like freshly baked pastry, homemade jams, and rich coffee.
The noise from the nearby freeway might be disturbing for those who are not tolerant of constant low traffic buzz.

The breakfast at La Bastide De Negra was a true delight, with a buffet spread that was fit for royalty. The aroma of freshly baked pastries filled the air, and the selection of cheeses and cured meats was truly impressive. I felt like I had stumbled into a lavish feast fit for the gods.
Limited seating in the garden.

The hotel is situated near the picturesque Canal du Midi and offered a beautiful walk. the hotel has well-maintained gardens and a nice swimming pool. the room was lovely, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed friendly and helpful hosts.
We were hoping to dine at an on-site restaurant that was advertised on some travel sites, but it was not available. We had to travel to find a place to eat instead.

The rooms at La Bastide De Negra are lovely with a homely feel, featuring a tile/marble floor that adds a touch of elegance. The private bathrooms with shower and free toiletries are clean and well-maintained, making you feel pampered during your stay. Some rooms even have an executive lounge access, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The apartment option is great with its own private pool, allowing you to unwind and cool off whenever you want. The private entrance in some of the rooms adds an extra layer of privacy, making you feel like you have your own little haven.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the double room to be a bit lacking. But hey, some people might enjoy the lively atmosphere and don't mind a bit of noise.
